CEL-E-BRATE Seriously Social good times, come on! Community Leisure UK is hosting the first ever Seriously Social Awards this November and ALL our members are invited to take part! The awards are being held at the Lowry, Manchester on Wednesday 13 November between 6.30pm and 11.30pm.
Earlier this year our Seriously Social Campaign shone a spotlight on the brilliant work of Charitable Trusts and Social Enterprises delivering social good and putting people above profit – helping shift the national narrative from deliverers of public leisure and culture to deliverers of social good.
Mirroring the campaign, the Seriously Social Awards 2024 celebrate the social value & social impact our members make! Showcasing their role in the social economy and the difference they make to individuals, communities, local authorities and the state. It doesn’t matter whether you took part in the original campaign in May or not – this is your chance to seriously shine. As long as you are a MEMBER! And like all good awards there’s a TWIST!
Just like the campaign we’re doing something Seriously, and Socially, different. We are encouraging everyone to submit their entries live via social media – as well as a more formal method via form. And the best bit is you can enter as many categories as many times as you like. Why are we doing it this way? Simple, it helps continue the awareness from the campaign, especially for all those new MPs out there. There are eight categories up for grabs including Seriously Social About Health and Wellbeing & Seriously Social About the Community. Find out more and enter now!
Dig out those cocktail dresses and smart suits because this is going to be a #SeriouslyFun awards night. Held at the stunning Lowry, in Manchester on Wednesday 13 November, between 6.30pm and 11.30pm. Tickets on a first come first serve basis are available from Monday 19 August.
