Community Leisure UK – Conference and Awards 2020

This conference constructed and delivered by Community Leisure UK and CLOA, aims to bring together local authority, trust and wider sector colleagues to share ideas, learning, solutions and experiences, and provide sector updates on the current and future landscape.

The conference is aimed at senior level officers and trust colleagues, Councillors, procurement leads, commissioners and Directors with responsibility for community, place, leisure and / or culture.

The agenda for the day includes;

  • Discussing what resilience means for public services, and non-statutory services in particular
  • Panel discussion and debate with perspectives from across the UK
  • Managing the financial aspects of resilience
  • Role of public leisure and culture services in community wealth building
  • Opportunities to catalyse change in leisure and culture services
  • Local authority and trust case studies
  • The role of leisure and culture services in redefining town centres
  • Considerations, dispelling myths & sharing solutions with regards to fair pay

To help recover costs, tickets are £85 + VAT for Community Leisure UK or CLOA members, and £95 + VAT for non-members.

The Community Leisure UK 2020 Awards ceremony is a chance to champion and showcase the outstanding achievements of member trusts throughout the 2018/19 year. These will be the 4th national awards for members, building on the success and positivity from previous events. The awards are an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and share the achievements of leisure and culture trusts across the UK.

Working in partnership with FUSE events, the 2020 Awards are once again shaping up to be a significant and exciting celebration of the sector.
