Community Leisure UK Awards

The Community Leisure UK Awards 2019 will recognise, showcase and honour the extraordinary impact of public leisure and cultural services throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Community Leisure Trusts and their staff continue to drive positive change to the health and wellbeing of the communities they serve, offering a diverse and innovative range of programmes to support local people.

Since their inception in 2016, the awards have represented the best of the charitable trust sector, and the contributions asset-based, community benefit organisations make across key policy areas such as public health, social integration and individual development. With a thorough judging process and high calibre event, the 2019 scheme will continue to do so.

The scheme is open to all Community Leisure UK members, with categories promoting high quality work across physical activity, libraries and cultural venues, as well as individual workforce achievements and impact through capital investment.

The Community Leisure UK Awards will take place on Wednesday 22nd May 2019 at the Lowry Theatre in Salford.

This year’s Awards are being sponsored by Myzone.

The categories to be awarded on the night are;

  • Community Impact through Physical Activity

  • Community Impact through Arts, Culture and Libraries

  • Workforce Development Award

  • Innovation Award

  • Capital Investment Award

  • Outstanding Volunteer

  • Outstanding Employee Achievement
