Coming to the year’s end, we are proud to share the impact and reach of our members. As we often discuss, trusts work in close partnership with other local community groups, health boards, local authorities, and national agencies and development bodies to create, manage, and provide inclusive and accessible sport, recreational and cultural activities.
Over the past year, our 110 members:
Over a quarter of members also manage green spaces – those are your local parks and playgrounds. And while people often think our members manage mostly swimming pools, sport halls and fitness studios, well over half of members manage cultural facilities; your theatres, libraries, museums and town halls!
Reaching all corners of the country
As a key local partner, member trusts are invested in their communities and in improving their physical and mental health. Their community activities reduce social isolation, and offer a safe place for people to be introduced to sport and cultural activities through exercise referral and social prescribing programmes.
As can be seen from the visualisation below, our members work in both cities and towns, right across the country. We invite you to contact your local trust to learn about what they do in your local community.
