Rob Cunningham from BH Live appointed to Community Leisure UK board

Community Leisure UK (CLUK) are delighted to welcome Rob Cunningham to the board as the director for the South West of England.

Rob is the Director of Leisure & Business Development at BH Live, one of the South Coast’s leading leisure and cultural operators. He oversees a portfolio of 17 diverse leisure facilities and leads on strategic growth and operational excellence for the Charitable Trust.

His appointment to the board of the members association for charities  and social enterprises operating public leisure and cultural services will see him represent his region’s interests and support Community Leisure UK to advocate for the important role and benefits of charities delivering public leisure and culture.

Rob said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Board of Community Leisure UK representing the South West Region. I’m looking forward to contributing to regional and national conversations on the future of our sector, championing the impact of leisure and culture, and working collaboratively with colleagues across the UK. I’m excited to get started and proud to represent our industry.”

He replaces Mike Lyons, CEO of Horizons Leisure, who has stepped down after two years of supporting the board of CLUK.

Rob began his career in the private sector working for Esporta and Virgin Active before moving into public leisure, where he has developed a strong reputation for driving commercial performance while delivering positive social and health outcomes.
