Bryan has been volunteering as a basketball coach for High Life Highland’s Active Schools programme since 2016, in the Inverness area.
Bryan has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair but this has not stopped him successfully competing and coaching wheelchair basketball for many years.

Bryan is dedicated to delivering basketball sessions to over 40 children on a weekly basis as well as organising multiple tournaments and various summer activities for young people. He is at the forefront of promoting wheelchair basketball in the Highlands, for which he received the Eric Liddell Pin Badge, only ever awarded to 100 people.
Bryan has transformed opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to participate in competitive sport, creating an environment where individuals can develop confidence, build friendships and experience the joy of being part of a team.
Few moments are more meaningful than watching a participant realise that sport is for them too, and Bryan has helped countless people reach that milestone.
A tireless champion of disability sport, Bryan is much more than a coach and mentor.
He is an inspiration, a role model and an advocate who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part and succeed.
He has never sought praise for his efforts; his motivation has always been to give back and help others achieve their potential. Through his dedication, compassion and leadership, Bryan has made a profound and lasting contribution to his community.
