Burnley Leisure and Culture have recently upgraded their power assisted equipment gym with major investment and rebranded to Active Hub.
The Hub offers a less challenging environment to a conventional gym with amazing benefits in a friendly, sociable setting where you can meet new friends and feel the benefits together.
Scott Bryce, Head of Group Operations at BLC said: “Our new hub encourages an alternative environment for older adults or those living with long term conditions or rehabilitation who may have felt intimated by our mainstream gym’s environment. We have been working tirelessly to break down all related barriers and am absolutely delighted with the new brand, look and feel of the new hub.
“We have partnered with leading equipment provider Innerva, and installed their premium power assisted range that enables us to deliver a comprehensive wellbeing facility, supporting the five elements of healthy ageing amongst older adults being aerobic fitness, muscular strength, balance, flexibility and social wellbeing.
“The team have developed such a fantastic workout space that also integrates with technology, creating a real boutique instead of your typical makeup for this userbase, ensuring we meet the needs of our ever-increasing diverse membership, no matter what your fitness level, age or health condition, the hub is designed to enhance both physical and mental wellbeing training experiences and essentially; all being fully inclusive.”
