Community Leisure UK Chair, Stuart Lockwood, has written to the Prime Minister to reinforce messages from our sector leaders urging the government to approve the request to Her Majesty’s Treasury for recovery funding to save public leisure facilities, 1,000’s of jobs and to support the health and wellbeing of the nation. Also, for the government to to base any decisions to close leisure facilities on all the available data which suggests leisure is COVID-19 secure.
