Leisure Link Expands in Scotland

Published on: April 11th 2023

A partnership providing access to leisure facilities across Scotland-  regardless of where you are a member – will now include access to multiple leisure facilities across the Angus area.

The Leisure Link Partnership allows people who have joined one of the member organizations to access gym, public swimming and fitness classes at leisure centres across Aberdeen, Argyll and Bute, the Borders, Highland, Moray, Orkney, Shetland and The Western Isles – all at no extra cost.

Charitable Trust ANGUSalive has now joined the partnership adding seven new sites that can be used, including:

  • Arbroath Sports Centre
  • Brechin Community Campus
  • Carnoustie Sports Centre
  • Forfar Community Campus
  • Montrose Sports Centre
  • Saltire Sports Centre
  • Webster’s Sports Centre.

The Leisure Link Partnership Scheme is administered by High Life Highland (HLH), a culture and leisure trust operating across the Highlands.

HLH Chief Executive Steve Walsh said: “On behalf of the other partners across the country, I am very pleased to welcome ANGUSalive to the partnership. This collaboration gives leisure members and their families even greater flexibility to use their leisure cards at various sites right across Scotland, and all at no extra cost.”

Lynne Haxton, Sport and Leisure Team Leader at ANGUSalive said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our members the opportunity to keep active at leisure facilities across the country. This flexibility means that people working away from home or on holiday can use local facilities from participating areas as part of their existing home-based membership.”

Those making use of the scheme are asked to check directly with the site they are planning to visit for information and details of any advance booking required.
