New Treasurer for CLUK

We are delighted that Dawn Heaton has joined the Board of Trustees as our new Treasurer.

Dawn is the Director of Finance for Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles (IHL) who manage leisure and cultural services on behalf of Cannock Chase District Council and Selby District Council.

She has been part of the Senior Leadership Team at IHL for more than a decade as Finance Director and Head of Finance & Resources; her role has included responsibility for a range of strategic projects supporting business expansion, service development and performance improvement.

Chairman Phil Rumbelow said: “We are absolutely delighted that Dawn is joining Community Leisure UK.

“She has a proven track record in finance and, equally as important, she has direct experience of the impacts and pressures facing many of our members including the insourcing of contracts post Covid. 

“Dawn is also a massive advocate for collaboration between Trusts and currently  works with Bolton Middlebrook Leisure Trust providing strategic financial support.”

Dawn said: “I’m delighted to be joining this great organisation. The Covid and post-Covid world have been full of challenges.

“It has been a challenging time but I am delighted that after two very tough years our primary contracts in Cannock and Selby are stronger than ever.”

Dawn takes over from current Treasurer Marg Mayne who is also the Chief Executive of Mytime Active.

“Every element of the Covid pandemic was challenging but the financial impact was one of the toughest.
